Monday, 6th Sept – 6th day of the trip
The driving in Paris is crazy, as you’ve probably been told. The parking in particular is amazing, the Parisians are the best parallel parkers in the world, they slide into parking spots with a centimetre to spare. Most of the time.
Today we took it pretty easy, we spent a lot of time in the room recuperating and standing at the window watching the city. While we were watching a man pulled up beside a gap in the parked cars, unfortunately the gap was maybe 2 centimetres longer than his car but he decided to try his luck anyway. What followed was a terrible display of driving skills. It took the man at least 5 changes of direction to fit into the spot bumping into the cars in front of and behind him with each shift. When he finally finished his destruction of the neighbouring cars he popped the boot to get his jacket scraping the car behind him once more. Of course we stuck around to take a video of him driving away, hopefully we can post that soon for you to enjoy.

(Happy Father’s Day Dad)
The movie, you are about to see, is rated R18+ -it
contains vilonce, extreme desperation and swearing.
(Part 2 " La trafic extraordinaire -Parking Out in Paris)
Part 1 of the Series "La trafic extraordinaire -Parking In in Paris"
did not get approval for release. It was deemed too rough for
any L-drivers ending up on this blog, so Daniel volunteered to give the
keen viewer his written account of the events unfolding in front of our
innocent Australian students.
