Travelday – Easyjet Flight 3919 from Charles De Gaulle International Airport to Spain/Barcelona
It is raining when we leave France, and Easyjet has a pick your own seat procedure when boarding and is a no frills airline, where you buy the ride but a movie or beverage or snack costs extra.
In Barcelona we catch the Aerobus into the City and walk 500 m to our hostel. The streets are packed, especially La Rambla, the main drag from Placa Catalunya to Carrer de L’Hospital where the hostel is.
We sort out our rooms and then blend into the stream of people flowing through this old part of Barcelona, browsing, taking pictures of street performers, having a drink and a bite in one of the hundreds little restauarants, check out the old market nearbye, where they give you a big bowl of fresh cut fruit for 1 Euro as the day comes to a close although it is still almost daylight at 9pm.
Our room is stuffy and tight for the six of us and does not compare well with the stylish and spacious arrangement we had in Paris - another place, another experience.
