M&M's flight entertainment
Temple Street, Kowloon
The class 12 trip starts with a 3am wake up call, 4 am head to the airport, 5:30 am check in with Cathay Pacific, flight CX 110 to Hong Kong. 7: 10 am boarding and we take off to our four weeks adventure through seven countries.
Almost 9 hours later we fly into China. 33 degrees C and the air is thick and sticky – we catch the Airport Express Train to Hong Kong Island and then the Metro to Temple St Markets – browsing and bartering and chilling (literally) in a small restaurant with ice tea and A/C.
Not just the climate but also the food, the ambiente, and especially the size and numbers of neon signs everywhere are exotically different.
On our way back we take the Star ferry from Kowloon across to Central and enjoy the views onto the skyline of Down Town Hong Kong.
Close to midnight everybody gathers at the airport gate for boarding for our next leg to Paris - after a short but intense glimpse into this part of the world.
