On our tour of Turkey we were taken to the leather factory outlet, where we had a show of all different leather jackets on a catwalk. Before we went into the catwalk room we were all given a apple tea, which in my opinion was amazing. There were men and women strutting there stuff down the catwalk and I thought that the cool thing about it was, we had our own private show with only our class watching. The models chose Stef Stef and Aerliah to show off some sexy leather jackets and they put on a good show! After the catwalk we were taken into the factory outlet, where Stef Stef was harassed by a salesmen. Stef Stef kindly asked him for a leather jacket under 300 euros, but the salesmen insisted on showing him a jacket no less than 500 euros. Stef Stef was then chased out of the store and needed to leave asap.

Turkey in general
I have liked Turkey best out of all the countries we have been to so far, simply because it is culturally so different, I doubt that I could ever live here though.
Our tour guide explained to us that Turkey is a secular country, though 98% of people believe in the Muslim faith. She explained the religion as best she could saying that it was founded in the 6th century so some of the “rules” are outdated. Which made me wonder why it couldn’t be changed. Afterall the Vatican occasionally makes changes.
I think we have all had some very unique experiences over here that we will probably never forget!
Gallipoli was amazing! It was so beautiful that it was hard to imagine the trying scenes of a bloody war in such picturesque surroundings.
We went to the Virgin Mary’s house which was found after a nun had a dream about it and was pronounced a pilgrimage site after the Pope visited it in the 70’s (I think). Some people, myself included, were a little skeptical as to its authenticity due to the fact that there was (and still is) no hard evidence that it is actually her house. I was also a little disspointed that the house had been reconstructed but probably not to how it originally looked due to the fact that when they found it all that was left were the foundations.
When we were looking at the old cities it was amazing to see how much the water level has dropped in the last few centuries.
I am really looking forward to not having to be so careful with water and food, as well as there being ‘normal’ toilets, toilet paper in the toilets, toilets that actually work and being able to flush toilet paper!
